Notch Signaling Pathway – Present in most animal conservative signaling system playing a major role in the regulation of the embryonic development. This pathway is frequently affected in cancer leading to development of Notch inhibitors, which are now introduced in treatment of various cancers. Mechanisms within the Notch signaling pathway modulate chromatin marks and DNA methylation, which represent an additional layer of epigenetic regulation of the Notch signaling pathway.
